Oktoberfest Cabbage

Servings: 12

  • 1 head red cabbage, shredded
  • 2 apples, cored and chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • ½ cup cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup packed light brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • ½ tsp salt
  1. In a soup pot, combine all the ingredients and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 40-50 minutes or until the cabbage is tender.
